ABOUT THE COURSE
Come along and make your own log basket to grace your fireside this winter on this two day course with willow expert, Amanda Rayner, in the Hampshire South Downs. On the first day, you will learn to weave the willow base followed by putting on the upsett. In the afternoon, you will continue the basket by chasing two sets of waling. You will then choose a pattern followed by more waling and repeat pattern. On the second day, you will continue your basket incorporating finger hole handles in the top layer of waling and finishing up by laying down a rope border. Your tutor will demonstrate and support you through the various techniques needed to complete this sustainable willow basket which you will proudly take home with you at the end of the course. This course will take place indoors.
