	Kids Crafts & Activity Days 2008 with Janet Hammerton Sunday 10^th February Valentines Day Hearts £5.00 10.30 am – 12 noon. Basic stitching, making a mobile and having fun with Valentines Day cards. Ages 5-11 years. This is an adult and child event so please accompany your child and have fun helping them out. Saturday 23^rd February Painting on Silk and Waxed Lanterns £10.00 1pm – 3pm. Put your own basic pattern on silk for a beautiful effect. Decorate a simple lantern and take your work home. Ages 5 – 11 years. 8 years and under accompanied by an adult. Saturday 22^nd March Fluffy Chicks and Decorated Eggs £10.00 1pm – 3pm. Make your own woolly chicks in many colours and decorate and dip blown eggs to take home. Finish up with a mini mystery activity. Ages 5-11 years 8 years and under accompanied by an adult. Wednesday 9^th April Fabric Fun! Tie Dying and Printing. £7.00 1pm -3pm. Tie dying and printing with natural materials and stencils, make your own simple print blocks to take home for cards and wrappings. Ages 5-11 years 8 years and under accompanied by an adult. Wednesday 28^th May Hedgerows Discovery Trail £5.00 1pm – 3pm. Discover our hedgerows and edge of woodland trees and the stories behind them. Collect Elderflowers and make a cordial to take home. This is for parents and children to attend together. Ages 6-11 years accompanied by an adult. Friday 8^th August Vikings £10.00 1pm – 4.00pm How did the Vikings live, a Viking game to test your strength, making small Viking boats, watching Viking bread baked over the fire, inventing a Viking saga, challenging work with hazel rods, see soup bubbling in the cauldron. Get into the atmosphere in and around the timber framed hut. Ages 5-11 years, 8 years and under accompanied by an adult. Sunday 10^th August Fabric Fun! Tie Dying and Printing. £7.00 1.00pm -3pm. Fishy crafts follow indoors with items to take home. Ages 5-11 years. 8 years and under accompanied by an adult. Sunday 31^st August Nature Games and Nature Discovery £4.00 1pm - 3pm Find and identify leaves, test your memory, collect materials to make an object to take home. Use your senses and enter the challenges to learn through team, running and blindfold activities. Ages 4-9 years 8 years and under accompanied by an adult. Friday 31^st October Halloween Fun! £4.00 1pm – 3pm. Halloween Fun with natural materials, animal masks, spiders webs, ghoulish dainties & a little horror hunt to find hidden Halloween Favourites. Ages 5-9 years, 8 years and under accompanied by an adult. Saturday 6^th December & Sunday 14^th December Winter Discovery & Christmas Wreaths £6.00 1pm – 3pm. Go on a magical winter discovery walk. Look out for winter visitors, berries and animal homes. Come back and make a beautiful green wreath for the front door with materials gathered from the local area and make a small tree decoration.
