When a school makes a day visit pupils will enter an eco friendly environment and there will be plenty of opportunities to participate in recycling their lunch box waste, using the low flush option in the toilets, remembering that ‘every little switch helps’ enjoying the diversity of the grounds and finding out how hot the water is after passing through the solar panels.

If you are staying at Wetherdown Hostel pupils can also monitor the output of the photovoltaic panels and find out how much wood chip is needed to provide all the heat and hot water for their stay.
